Welcome to the Idita-walk 2008 homepage!  An event to promote physical fitness in the spirit of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race The Iditarod Sled dog race is 1049 miles long from Anchorage to Nome, Alaska.  To complete the Idita-walk, walk 30 minutes a day for 35 days between February 1, 2008 to March 31, 2008 for a total of 1049 minutes. 

You can log your minutes anywhere you can walk! We hope you will join us this year!

The entry fee for all 2008 participants is: $10 (same price as last year).

  • All proceeds go to Camp Bronson maintenance, scholarships, and numerous youth related programs.
  • All participants receive a collectible Idita-Walk 2008 lapel pin!
  • Other must-have Idita-Walk 2008 finisher items (T-shirts, sweat-shirts, leashes, etc.) may be purchased from our online store!

Register for Idita-walk 2008 now!
Walk for fitness, contribute to a good cause, and receive a collectible lapel pin!

Two convenient ways to get registered:

Sign Up and Pay Online - PREFERRED METHOD
  • Fill out the online entry form by Februray 15th so we can know how many lapel pins to order, based on the total registrations.

  • Login to the registrant area of the site.

  • Click 'pay now' to pay the $10 entry fee securely via PayPal.

  • Print a Time Sheet and log your minutes on a daily basis from February 1st to March 31st - or, log time online through-out the event.

  • When your Time Sheet is completed and you have 1049 minutes or more accumulated, log online, scan and email, fax, or mail to the address provided by March 31st (postmark by April 1st).

  • Print and fill out the online entry form.

  • Mail to the address provided on the form. Must receive by Februray 15th so we can know how many lapel pins to order.

  • Enclose the participant entry fee of $10. Make checks payable to: Idita-Walk 2008.

  • Print a Time Sheet and log your minutes on a daily basis from February 1st to March 31st.

  • When your Time Sheet is completed and you have 1049 minutes accumulated, scan and email, fax, or mail to the address provided by March 31st (postmarked by April 1st).

  • OR, follow the instructions to the left to register and pay securely online... simple and straight forward. This is the preferred way!
